It is with great sadness that we share that Thomas Mellewigt, Chair of Strategic Management at the Freie Universität Berlin, passed away on June 7, 2021. Thomas Mellewigt was a Program Chair for the SMS 28th Annual Conference in Cologne, Germany, and a longtime member of the Society. In research, he leaves a great scientific legacy in the fields of inter-firm cooperation, strategic alliances, and outsourcing and as a professor he is remembered as a motivating role model. SMS is grateful for his many contributions to the field and while we will miss him, we know his legacy lives on.
